Our Story
Fortress started from the frustration many of our clients face: trying to find an SEO partner that can actually deliver.
In 2018, Fortress founder Gerrid Smith was on the hunt for an SEO agency. His goal was to outsource SEO tasks for his recently launched CBD eCommerce company. After working with several agencies, he was shocked at how difficult it was to find someone who could deliver on what they promised. So he took matters into his own hands.
At the time, Gerrid had well over a decade of experience in SEO, so he knew it would be an uphill battle to promote a cannabis product. But with a combination of experience, advanced SEO tactics, and outside-the-box strategies, his company hit 8 figures in revenue in their first year of business.
Fortress grew from that experience as a remedy to the SEO status quo. Gerrid and the Fortress team are dedicated to helping companies get the online recognition they deserve.
